no clean surfaces

No Clean Surfaces is a reaction to the our experiences and sentiment from user research regarding community on campus students describe their interactions within formal club structures can at times feel like additional obligation rather than creating something with friends.
Interactions with others often don’t extend beyond their immediate classes, leaving people feeling unaware of what work or development is happening with their peers. People want to engage with their community and have opportunities to engage and learn from others, grow, or simply just exist in the same space, working and collaborating closely with peers
Ultimately, the common thread through our research was that formal structure can feel empty without peer connection
So how can we foster a creative environment where peer relationships can grow beyond a formal structure ?
community
events
Create open, lowkey environments for people to learn and exist with others
brand
projects
Form an identity that can be worn , printed and published. Not as marketing, but as a signal of community.
